Networking is the art of connecting all of your work
stations to a server or to each other. Once connnected, you
then have the ability to share peripherals or files in that
environment. Networking starts with understanding what you need
to accomplish with the network. We will connect your workstations
to a server or to each other. We can bring the Internet to your
local area network. We will plan the best configuration to help
achieve your business goals
Network Design and Maintainence
is part technology and part poetry. When a good network is installed
data flow amongst the nodes is flawless and seamless. Internet
access is unrestricted, and problems are minimal to non-existant.
A clunky networks breaks down and has many problems.
Wireless Networks
With wireless technology growing at leaps and bounds, the new
rage in networking is wireless. With 802.11g (Airport Extreme
for Apples) now available, a wireless network can have throughput
of up to 54Mbps and up to 2 miles in range. This protocol also
has the ability to traverse through thick Adobe walls, perfect
for the Southwest.
Traditional Wired Networks
Traditional ethernet or wired networks are still a good idea
for stability and reliability. With speeds of up to 1Gbps, nothing
is faster. If you don't need the fanciness of a wireless network,
or if you need the reliability of a wired network, then ethernet
is the way to go.
Mesh Networks
A very new and experimental protocol coming into the marketplace.
Mesh networks are designed for advanced ad hoc routing. Typically
used in a wireless network, the mesh protocol is able to find
the fastest and most reliable path to the server on your network,
increasing speed and fidelity of your data transmissions.
