Today we can install miniature security cameras everywhere
(such cameras can even include infra-red illumination which
enables us to see in the dark). The security camera in the local
store or bank, which feeds to a monitor and a tape machine,
is closed circuit television. Also, some sports venues will
have closed circuit video support - TV that isn't broadcast
anywhere, but just gives the people in the cheap seats a better
view of the action. Since the events of September 11, many companies
are increasingly concerned about building security and have
started to investigate the functionality of their security systems.
With the use of a Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) system (i.e.,
security cameras), the pictures taken could prevent many threats
to public and private establishments.
